Learning Disabilities Association
of Washington

Learning Disabilities Association of Washington joined the Family Resource Center campus on April 1.

LDA-WA promotes and provides services and support to maximize the quality of life for individuals and families affected by learning and attention disabilities. Programs include social skills and anger management classes, public information and referral,
professional trainings, learning assessments, and employer assistance.

"That's terrific," said new neighbor Robert Blumenfeld of disAbility Resource Network. "We'd like to work closely with them, and it will be great to have them next door."

Between 15 to 20 percent of the U.S. population may have some form of learning disability according to the National Institute of Health.

LDA-WA takes over Suite B-4, recently vacated by Brain Injury Association of Washington, which has moved to Harborview.

More information may be found on the agency website at www.ldawa.org.
